Niti Aayog Draft Guidelines for Fantasy Sport Regulation: NITI Aayog has published the draft guidelines for regulating fantasy sports in India. IAMAI would like to congratulate NITI Aayog for this visionary document, and thank them for allowing us the opportunity to consult with them on the finer points of the guidelines. IAMAI's submission was designed keeping in mind the interests of the country, its members, while ensuring safeguards for its consumers. IAMAI is confident that our feedback will receive due consideration.

Expert committee report on Non-personal Data governance framework:
Following consultations by IAMAI and other industry stakeholders, the Expert committee published a second draft of the report. The second draft has addressed several of the points raised by IAMAI, such as the need for recognizing SaaS providers separately within any Non personal data governance framework. IAMAI submitted a consolidated consultation to the expert committee taking into account the implications of its contents on various stakeholders in the Industry. IAMAI is confident of the submission receiving due consideration and extends all cooperation with respect to the same. 

Payments Infrastructure Development Fund (PIDF): Reserve Bank of India released the Operational guidelines for the Payments Infrastructure Development Fund scheme, and it has sought strict monitoring and evaluation support from PCI within its guidelines during the implementation of the scheme. PCI had submitted an industry consolidated feedback to the RBI on the Targeting and Reimbursement procedure for the scheme.

Report of the 'Internal Working Group to Review Extant Ownership Guidelines and Corporate Structure for Indian Private Sector Banks': PCI in consultation with its Payments Banks members submitted its industry comments on the  RBI Report of the ‘Internal Working Group to Review Extant Ownership Guidelines and Corporate Structure for Indian Private Sector Banks’ on the 14th January 2021. The submission represents the industry viewpoint and suggestions on the recommended guidelines for conversion from Payments Banks to Small Finance Banks.

Reserve Bank Innovation Hub (RBIH): FCC Chairman, Naveen Surya and Co-Chairman, Srinivas Jain presented to the RBIH on the current challenges faced by the fintech sector in the country on 12th January 2021. They suggested the RBIH the way forward for implementing its strategy within the ecosystem and presented the identified areas of challenges and sectors that could prosper with innovation and support.

IAMAI and NITI Aayog present 15th India Digital Summit - Digital for an Aatmanirbhar Bharat
IAMAI in partnership with NITI Aayog presented its 15th edition of the India Digital Summit with Aatmanirbhar Bharat as the central theme. The Summit has been organised around six tracks- Building National Digital infrastructure, Nurturing Indian Startups, Digitally Recharging Small & Medium Businesses, Innovative digital services beyond first 200 million, Digital Policies from Global Perspective but Indian Reality and, Leveraging Policy, Market and Human Resources for High End Experiments.

The event brought together leaders from the Government as well as the Private sector together for engaging discussions around the central theme. Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Minister for Communications, Electronics & Information Technology and Law and Justice was the Chief Guest of Honour for the event. The summit witnessed dignitaries like Shri Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog, Shri P D Vagela, Chairman TRAI, Shri Jayant Sinha, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Shri J Satyanarayana, Chairman, National Digital health Blueprint Committee, Shri Pawan Kumar Agarwal, Special Secretary, Logistics, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Sanjeev Bhikchandani, Co-Founder, Info Edge, Deep Kalra, CEO, Makemytrip, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder and CEO, Paytm, Dinesh Agarwal, Founder and CEO, IndiaMART and many others.

India Digital Awards
IAMAI organised the India Digital Awards to celebrate the achievement of the companies that worked towards developing an ecosystem of digital services in the past year. The awards witnessed a total Jury of 58 members and received more than 700 entries with a participation from 350+ companies.
