IEC Convenes Founders' Meet in Bengaluru
The India Edtech Consortium (IEC) organised a meeting of edtech founders on December 16, 2022, in Bengaluru. Thirty founders of edtech companies discussed the way forward to build the edtech ecosystem. It was emphasized that contributions of the edtech ecosystem must be highlighted in all dialogues with the government so that they are duly recognized for their efforts while giving them a level playing field in the education space.

PCI Launches Project Pratima to Standardise Icons for Digital Payments
The Payments Council of India (PCI) launched Project Pratima on December 2, 2022. The project aims to introduce a uniform set of icons for basic payment actions and processes, which in turn is expected to improve trust, security, and familiarity with digital payment icons.

PCI constituted a working group with members from Jupiter Money, Fampay, Amazon, Setu, PayU, Eko, Paytm, SafexPay, Mobikwik and WhatsApp Pay, and created a list of standard payments-related icons to be adopted by industry players. The PCI also onboarded NPCI, SBI, HDFC and PNB to the initiative for additional support, at the request of the Reserve Bank of India. The PCI secretariat is also working on an implementation roadmap of the project by the industry and is closely engaged with all industry stakeholders including banks to ensure industry-wide use of these standardized icons. 18th Marketing Conclave in Mumbai
The Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), in collaboration with WebEngage, organised the 18th edition of Marketing Conclave (Marcon), India's oldest and biggest digital marketing conference, in Mumbai on December 12, 2022. The theme of this year's Marcon was 'Foresee the Unforeseen'. Over 95 marketing gurus shared their insights with more than 1000 delegates from the marketing world. IAMAI along with Deloitte launched a report on "Metaverse: The Hype, Possibilities, and Beyond". The report highlights the possibilities of different types of Metaverse architectures and their potential across enterprises.

Marcon was supported by Google Cloud, Asia Net News, Times Internet, Bobble AI and ValueFirst among others. Over 250 marketing brands, agencies, publishers and MarTech platforms converged at the conclave.
