Automobile search in India has been experiencing a remarkable growth. Online retailing is booming and is changing people’s perceptions of buying consumer durables online. The same trait is now seen in the auto sector as we see more and more auto eCommerce websites on the surge.
According to the Search Behaviour data published by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and IMRB Digital, Honda with 1.36 million ‘reach’ was at the top, followed by Mahindra at 0.84 million and BMW at 0.63 million. It must be mentioned here that all search related data is taken from Google and the category reach is based on brand mentions in the search query.
The search for Four Wheeler category was higher at 3.79 million than the Two Wheeler category which stood at 2.99 million.
